From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

The one which does not create bondage is Karma, the one which paves the way for liberation is Vidya. The rest of the work is hard work and other knowledge is just art skills. Indian sages and mystics have called knowledge (vidya) as the means of man's salvation. Man has been yearning for freedom from fear, hunger, disorder, evil tendencies, misconduct, weakness, humility and inferiority, disease, grief etc. since eternity. The above Mahavakya of Sri Vishnu Purana gives the same message that man should make efforts to get freedom from all his troubles through knowledge. Learning is successful through sacrifice and penance, hence attainment of knowledge is always laborious. Let us all try our best to acquire knowledge by being disciplined and with dedication, using all available resources in a dignified manner. By including proper diet, exercise and thoughts in your daily routine, make the infinite possibilities given by nature as a person flourish and blossom in the light of the sacred energy of knowledge. We all recite this sutra from Taitriya Upanishad of Krishna Yajurveda every day in the morning prayer meeting in our schools:- ॐ सह नाववतु सह नौ भुनक्तु, सह वीर्यम करवावहै। तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै, ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।। Come, let us understand the great message hidden in this sutra and assimilate it in our life and do our daily work. I send my heartiest greetings to all the principals, teachers, students, officers and personnel of Gurugram division and wish them a successful and happy future.

The way a potter produces a flawless pitcher from raw, loose mud, delicately supporting it from inside on a rotating wheel, removing deformities by striking mildly to ensure that the end product is PERFECT, similarly school is an institution which transforms a child. Time and again we have seen across the world, how the transformation of a single individual has led to a ripple effect, ultimately spearheading the transformation of a nation. The history of the world is actually the history of few people who had faith and trust in themselves. A school is a ‘world in miniature' where one receives ‘training for life', where effective, meaningful and joyful learning takes place. It is here, where our life's lesson is learnt----to accept challenges, face competition, defeat and failure, rejoice at victory and triumph. We, at KV No 2, Sohna Road Gurugram are whole heartedly committed to provide an education which has balanced ingredients of academics, sports, moral- values and co-curricular activities in view of National Education Policy 2020. Our students are our most precious assets and need to be cherished and nurtured. It is our attempt, therefore, to give them an environment of beautiful experiences where every child is loved, encouraged and respected for what he or she is. Let us give them the treasure of faith, hope and love in their hearts. There is high level dedication in my staff which makes it possible to realize the mission of educating students for life---to be go-getter and first rate human beings. As a parting note, I would like to emphasize that family and society has an equal responsibility towards transformation of a child into responsible global citizen and a flag-bearer of future of our country.
